Lawsuit Prompts Smart Meter Opt-Outs For Opponents In Hawaii

As a result of a lawsuit filed against the utility, Kauai Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC) has announced that it will "indefinitely defer" smart meter installations for those who oppose the technology.
