Past Congressional Corruption Jeopardizes American Health Today
Technology, aerospace, and telecommunications corporations are all rushing to saturate the planet with microwave radiationa class 2B carcinogen. Microwave radiation is the invisible platform that allows modern wireless devices, including cellphones and WiFi to communicate. Microwave (MW) radiation is part of the radio frequency (RF) portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.
A citizen action groupGlobal Union Against Radiation Deployment from Space (GUARDS)contends that these projects, which include projects by SpaceX, Facebook, and Google's Project Loon, violate important human rights conventions due to the serious biological effects and involuntary nature of exposures.
Projects to launch and replace thousands of satellites to provide worldwide Internet service will blanket the earth with harmful pulsed microwave radiation, destroy ozone and worsen climate change due to the emission of black soot from so many rockets. Combined with the detrimental environmental effects RF radiation has on both flora and fauna, including bees, these global wireless projects are predicted lead to environmental devastation and even widespread starvation.
RF radiation limits are now the sole responsibility of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which is the subject of a recent report published by Harvard University's Edmond J. Safra Center for EthicsCaptured Agency: How the Federal Communications Commission Is Dominated by the Industries It Presumably Regulates by Norm Alster. On February 7, 2014, in reference to these very RF radiation limits, the U.S. Department of Interior (DOI) stated, "the electromagnetic radiation standards used by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) continue to be based on thermal heating, a criterion now nearly 30 years out of date and inapplicable today." This is unfortunate for the American public, but not surprising, since the FCC is not a health and safety agency and has no in-house personnel qualified to research and set RF radiation safety limits.
In 1993, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wrote a scathing criticism of the FCC's proposed RF/MW radiation limits . In June 1995, the EPA announced to the FCC that it would be releasing its own RF/MW radiation safety limits in early 1996. An internal EPA memorandum regarding a meeting with the FCC and the NTIA makes it clear that the EPA was also initiating a process to develop initial regulations pertaining to chronic RF/MW radiation exposures and non-thermal RF/MW radiation effects within a two-year time frame. But, after industry lobbying, on September 13, 1995 the EPA Radiation Division that drafted the regulations was de-funded by the Senate Appropriations Committee, which also wrote, "The Committee believes EPA should not engage in EMF activities".
In 1996, telecom industry lobbyists succeeded in getting The 1996 Telecommunications Act passed. This Act prohibited states, municipalities and citizens from objecting to the placement and construction of wireless communications facilities (antennas) for reasons of health or the environment and assigned the FCC to be the sole regulator of "safety" related to wireless RF/MW radiation-emitting technology.
"It is time for Congress to take their responsibility to protect the health and environmental security of Americans seriously and to put the EPA in charge of setting RF radiation safety limits that will truly protect the American public. Congress must stop these dangerous projects that intend to irradiate the entire continent with RF radiation before they start. Non-wireless Internet and communication technologies are available and can always be improve." said Marcey Kliparchuk a spokesperson for GUARDS.
In the years since the EPA was prevented from developing biologically-based RF radiation exposure limits, millions of Americans have begun to experience effects that are well documented in the medical literature to result from exposure to radiation emitted by wireless technologyincluding headache, sleepiness, cognitive impairment, fatigue, depression, anxiety, facial flushing, skin rash, asthma, cardiac arrhythmia, easy bruising, infertility, insomnia, neurological disease and cancers (breast, lung, brain, lymphoma, leukemia, melanoma, and others).
In the culmination of a process begun in 1999, The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences finally contracted in August 2005 to have toxicology research performed to assess the cancer risk and other biological effects of wireless radiation in lab animals. The results have still not been released years after completion of the research.
Over 200 scientists researching the biological and health effects of exposure to radiation from wireless devices and other sources of EMF have submitted a formal Appeal to the United Nations because "Numerous recent scientific publications have shown that EMF affects living organisms at levels well below most international and national guidelines. Effects include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological disorders, and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. Damage goes well beyond the human race, as there is growing evidence of harmful effects to both plant and animal life."
GUARDS is an international coalition of diverse groups that have joined together in order to stop the implementation of global WiFi from space, which threatens all life on earth.

Next step: file Informal Objections
Number of Informal Objections filed at the FCC OET as of today at 3:30 pm PST -- 2
The OET may decide Google's application this week. Nnake Nweke, the head of OET Experimental License division, said filers are on the honor system as far as environmental impact, and there is no further investigation on experimental projects unless staff raises an issue, or unless issues are raised by informal objections. The FCC must be flooded with informal objections containing documentation and even personal stories as soon as possible to stand any hope of an open public process.

https://apps.fcc.gov/els/PleadingsWelcome.do Filing informal objection
Google's application # is 0747-EX-PL-2015
Documents have to be converted to PDFs to submit. The FCC has two free online services that will do it, if you don't have that ability.
It looks like comments can be submitted anonymously. I saw no place to put any personal information prior to filing, though the FCC will have the ISP of the computer it is sent from. Saving the document to a thumb drive and downloading it from there to the website, rather than from a hard drive, is another layer of security.
While filing, it would also be wise to file an objection to the Space X satellite project # 0356-EX-PL-2015
Both of the filings by GUARDS are on the www.stopglobalwifi.org site.
Suggestion: send a copy to Department of Interior.

Does anyone have contacts to write to the FAA, DOT, HHS, EPA, Consumer Affairs, HUD, etc.? Send contacts to me and I'll put together a revised page with all the contact info to send out.
GUARDS says send objections to Congressional reps.
Also, cc to public advocacy and environmental organizations.

Unplug: How to Survive and Thrive in a Wi-Fi World Gone Wild
Fortunately Jacqueline came into Sam's life. Aside from adding excitement to his personal life, Jacqueline was also a chiropractor and introduced him to the rejuvenating power of chiropractic medicine. They decided to get married and moved out of their respective apartments into a spacious house which they transformed into a living/working environment. Packed with computers and office equipment their office had the "look and feel of the Starship Entreprise." But they took many steps to make the house a healthy and supportive environment.
The house overlooked a landscaped backyard with maple trees. Big windows provided much natural light, which were supplemented with full-spectrum lighting. A reverse osmosis system provided drinking water. They even had an environmental consultant come to evaluate air quality and install filters and a Feng Shui consultant optimized the energy flows.
Sam's career had migrated into coaching and Jacqueline was busy treating patients and teaching healthcare seminars around the country. Sam began to feel more and more exhausted, he suffered pains in his chest and chronic fatigue. In a bid to regain his health he decided to change his routine, taking more time for himself and spending more time in nature.
Jacqueline practiced her chiropractic procedures to help Sam but then she started experiencing her own health problems. She would suddenly end up spending a day in bed. These physical ailments were accompanied by bouts of depression. In 2010 Jacqueline's health challenges accelerated and sadly in 2010 she passed away.
Sam was left feeling numb. The love of his life had been taken away. Then one day he was sat in home office and a book in a bright orange dust jacket caught his eye, Zapped. He became captivated and felt he could hear Jacqueline's voice encouraging him to read the book. It told the story of the author of the book, Louise Gittleman, who had for a long time been troubled by a variety of baffling health issues, then one day she was diagnosed with a benign tumor of the parotid, a salivary gland located below the ear. She eventually put 2 and 2 together and realized that her tumor was linked to her use of a cell phone and the other seemingly harmless electrical devices she was using in her job as a writer.
Sam devoured the Gittleman book, cover to cover, and promptly set about making changing in his own life to deal with his electromagnetic field (EMF) exposures. This led him to write his own book, Unplug How To Survive And Thrive In A WiFi World Gone Wild. Sam Weider explains, "Whether you are opening your refrigerator door or typing away at your computer keyboard your body absorbs that field like a paper towel soaks up water."
He overviews the mounting volume of evidence of adverse health effects due to EMF exposures; DNA damage, assault to the blood brain barrier, inflammatory diseases, learning disabilities, decreased fertility, melatonin suppression and weakened immune system, a decrease in insulin/increase in blood sugar.
This book looks at the faulty beliefs and notions that keep us from seeing and acknowledging the truth about the dangers of EMFs. One of the biggest blocks is that people are simply addicted to their electrical gadgets so they convince themselves they can't be bad for them. Or they reason, 'EMF's are everywhere, you can't escape them so why bother?' Another line of faulty reasoning is 'EMF's don't seem to bother me, so why worry.' The problem is when your overall health starts to fade, unless you're able to make a direct link with a certain kind of exposure, your cell phone, or your WiFi how could you possibly know the culprit was the EMF's?
About half of the book is devoted to explaining how you can protect yourself from EMF's. It provides guidance on:
creating a low EMF living environment
how to de-stress your bedroom
how to make smart choices for low EMF lighting
how to make your office a safer place to work
Sam also explains how he dealt with the EMF's in his own environment and how he enrolled an EMF consultant to help him with this. He realized that some of his symptoms were brought on when he stood bare foot or in stocking feet in certain rooms. His EMF consultant identified the problem as a grounding issue on his under floor heating.
Is This Book For You? What I particularly like is the honesty of Sam's approach. Reading between the lines it was the loss of his wife in 2010 that spurred Sam to write the book and 'tell it like it is.' My heart goes out to you, Sam, on the loss of your wife, but well done on turning that situation 'round and using it as an opportunity to write a book to help people.
If you're discovering EMF's for the first time, or you have a friend or family member you'd like to open their eyes about these dangers, this book is an excellent introduction. It's very easy to read and it's crammed full of practical tips on how to deal with EMF's. If you're already well versed in the dangers of EMF's it's nevertheless an engaging read and there's sure to be something some EMF nuggets that you'd not heard of before.

Exposing scientists' flaws
I gave my students iPads. They stopped talking to each other.
They need to talk and listen and talk some more at school, both with peers and with adults who can model conversation skills.
The iPads subtly undermined that important work. My lively little kids stopped talking and adopted the bent-neck, plugged-in posture of tap, tap, swipe.
This is well worth watching - lots of well-presented up-to-date information. On 30th November 2015, the Dean's Lecture at the University of Melbourne was given by Professor Devra Davis based around the question "What are the health effects of mobile phones and wireless radiation?". Epidemiologist and electromagnetic radiation health-effects expert, Dr Davis, outlines the evolution of the mobile phone and smartphone and provides a background to the current 19 year old radiation safety standards (SAR), policy developments and international legislation.
