City of Berkeley to require cellphone sellers to warn of possible radiation risks

California city the first in the nation to have wireless warnings if the law is allowed to go into effect in July.

Maine opponents of smart meters take case to court of last resort
Many people currently acutely sensitive to RF/EMF can feel virtually each signal. Smart meters in Maine while only transmitting for a short total time of perhaps a few minutes, can transmit upwards of 170,000 micro-bursts per day in no regular pattern. That's the equivalent of one signal every 2 seconds. If this creates an adverse effect whether pain or vertigo, it is nothing less than torture, a word often used to describe RF exposure symptoms.

Four years ago, federal agents raided the home and Portland city office of McCoy and filed bribery and tax evasion charges. They alleged he had taken money and travel favours in exchange for getting the city to install a Florida company's smart meters, designed to slash the labour and maintenance costs involved in collecting parking fees.
The government says Levey paid McCoy $56,000 in phoney consultant fees and promised $137,000 more, at $100 a meter, for recommending Levey's products to other cities. That was to be payable after McCoy left city employment.

Ontario School Boards - New Oversight Rules

--------
The public will be able to complain to the Ontario Ombudsman about school boards as of September 1, 2015, and about municipalities and universities as of January 1, 2016, now that the dates have been proclaimed for the relevant sections of the Public Sector and MPP Accountability and Transparency Act to come into force.
Passed by the legislative assembly on December 9, 2014, the act also known as "Bill 8" extends Ombudsman scrutiny to the so-called "MUSH sector" for the first time in the office's 40-year history.
"We look forward to bringing the same level of oversight to municipalities, universities and school boards as we always have to provincial organizations," said Ontario Ombudsman André Marin. The ombudsman's office has reached out to these sectors and will release more details in the coming weeks.

Can you ride a bike?
This is fantastic and tells us so much about how our brains function.
Ever hear that phrase "It's just like riding a bike?" It turns out riding a bike isn't actually all that easy. Take this bike, for example.
It looks like an ordinary bicycle but with one tiny difference. You may think you can ride it, but I guarantee you're wrong.
