Pediatric conference declares cell phones and wireless cause brain cancer and other health issues
A pediatric conference held at the Baltimore Convention Center provided a forum for health experts to discuss the findings. Yale and Harvard scientists and doctors were particularly vocal about potentially harmful cell phone radiation to the brain development of unborn children. A correlation was found between cell phone use during pregnancy and behavioral problems manifesting in the children as they develop.

I cannot stress too strongly that those now contemplating significant development for the community of Deep Bay urgently need to pause - because they have a moral if not fiduciary responsibility to educate themselves about the long-known - but media, government and industry suppressed - hazards of electro-magnetic fields (EMF)s, which are always present with both: a) residential powerline or 60 Hz electricity (think of household electricity, all electric appliances, all electronics, tools, machinery, electric vehicles, etc.); and, b) radio / microwave frequency pulsed NON-thermal radiation (think cordless phones, cell phones, cell phone towers, tablet and laptop computers, 'smart' phones, Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth, GPS, etc.)!
Given that RDN is currently contemplating a development plan that could easily see the population of Deep Bay double – which would require both BC Hydro and telecom companies to add substantially to their infrastructure now serving Deep Bay - it is imperative that each and every RDN Director and every member of the Deep Bay Working Group educates her/himself about the TRUTH about EMFs – which has deliberately been suppressed by mainstream media, governments and industry for decades! Unbelievably, British Columbia's Provincial Health Officer (PHO), Dr. Perry Kendall, is not educated in and lacks any expertise or qualifications in EMF radiation – particularly in low-level pulsed NON-thermal non ionizing radiation, which is the kind that is emitted by all of today's consumer wireless products plus 'smart' meters! This explains why Dr. Perry Kendall MD, who is paid to protect us, simply endorses whatever Health Canada says about EMFs – which he has done since becoming BC's PHO back in 1999! Not once has he insisted that any of today's wireless products – e.g., 'smart' meters – need to be first independently tested for public safety before allowing electric utilities to impose them on an unsuspecting and defenseless public! Not once has he urged the government of BC to impose the Precautionary Principle – i.e., put the onus on electric utilities and wireless/telecom companies to first prove their products/devices are safe to be used by, on and around people of all ages, of all sizes, of all levels of wellness on a continuous basis, 24/7/365 in perpetuity – such as we all are exposed to today from 'smart' meters, cell towers, AM/FM radio stations, TV towers, Wi-Fi and Wi-MAX zones, cordless phones, residential and household electricity, electrical appliances, vehicles, tools, machinery, etc.!
With respect to those who champion electric vehicles and 'driverless' cars (both of which will produce strong, hazardous magnetic fields), they should note that back in 1979 Dr. Nancy Wertheimer was the first scientist in the world to show that magnetic fields of just 2-3 mG (milliGauss) cause leukemia in children. Since then, her peer-reviewed studies have been replicated in various countries throughout the world! Leading non-industry EMF scientists have long said that today's growing epidemics of cancers, autism, ADHD, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and other diseases of the brain, immune system and central nervous system are caused by EMFs, both powerline (60 Hz) and RF frequencies.
Note: Neither RDN nor Deep Bay's Working Group will have a second chance to ensure this Official Community Plan (OCP) review is done correctly, such that the public's health and well-being are protected. If it is not done correctly, the residents of Deep Bay will suffer, that is, they, all future generations, and all future residents of Deep Bay - forever!
Because of my arcane military background (BIO below), I am recognized internationally to be an authority on EMF matters – both those related to powerline (60 Hz) frequencies and those related to radio / microwave frequencies. I am a retired Canadian Armed Forces captain who spent 22 of my 26+ years in the 'Forces' in Electronic Warfare (EW) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), the former of which included two years in National Defense Headquarters (NDHQ) Ottawa, in the Directorate of Electronic Warfare (DEW). I am a retired Canadian Armed Forces captain who spent 22 of my 26+ years in the 'Forces' in Electronic Warfare (EW) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), the former of which included two years in National Defense Headquarters (NDHQ) Ottawa, in the Directorate of Electronic Warfare (DEW). In EW I worked closely with U.S. and NATO armies; attended a major NATO army EW officers' course in Anzio, Italy, and participated in a major NATO army EW field exercise in Germany. I accepted invitations to visit both the U.S. Pentagon and, subsequently, Fort Bragg, North Carolina (the US Army's principal EW base). Earlier still, I conducted Radio Warfare/EW at sea aboard two Canadian warships. In SIGINT, I was the Executive Officer and Operations Officer for two years at one of Canada's largest and most sensitive radio intelligence-gathering stations, where I employed some 200+ specially-trained radio operators who conducted both COMINT and ELINT under my direction. The attached letter was sent yesterday to the Directors of the Regional
District of Nanaimo via Canada Post's Registered mail. The letter provides
evidence that, preposterously, NO - repeat - NO health authority in British
Columbia or Canada is protecting us - or ever has - from the known but
deliberately concealed dangers of: 1) the microwave radiation emitted by
consumer wireless radio products and 'smart' meters, etc.; and, 2) the
electric and magnetic fields (EMFs) that are present whenever 60 Hz
alternating current flows in and around our homes and neighborhoods
(including 'smart' meters), etc.!
The letter explains that BC's Provincial Health Officer, although he has
been in this position for 17 years, continues to lack any education,
qualifications or expertise in EMFs, leaving him no alternative but to
simply echo whatever Health Canada says. (It is known that Health Canada's
elite EMF scientists have long been members of the industry-co-opted
international regulatory cartel). Preposterous? Absolutely! But look at the
evidence!
The shocking, unbelievable truth is, there is not a single, senior
EMF-qualified health authority anywhere in Canada who is protecting British
Columbians from hazardous EMFs! Nor has there ever been! With the Union of
BC Municipalities being the next senior level of government in the province,
by default, UBCM is obliged to assert itself now - on behalf of all British
Columbians! Respectfully, it is suggested that UBCM should strongly urge the
BC Government (until it has time to obtain guidance from an
internationally-respected EMF expert - one with no ties to industry or
government), as prudent interim measures, to: 1) impose the 'Precautionary
Principle" province-wide on all equipment and infrastructure emitting EMFs!
2) apply the 'ALARA' principle (as low as reasonably possible) meaning that
all radio transmitters operating within the province must immediately reduce
their total effective radiated power to the lowest possible level! And, 3)
Impose a moratorium on any new construction of cell phone towers or
hydroelectric infrastructure in and around populated areas throughout the

"
