I am disappointed that Superintendent D. Leahy could be so fooled by statements made by Health Canada. He should know that Health Canada has made significant mistakes in the past which have severely harmed Canadians. These include Tobacco, DDT, PCBs, Thalidomide, Asbestos and other exposure risks where they originally advised Canadians that they were safe. If Mr. Leahy were to do his own due diligence, he would find many scientific papers that show serious harm to health caused by micro-wave radiation at levels below those found at Medicine Hat schools.
Trustee Jodi Churla stated that we should trust the science. I agree with that, but first she must find the science, read it, understand it and then she will realize how dangerous Wi Fi is. To illustrate the dangers of what Ms Churla, Mr. Leahy and Health Canada are ignoring, I have attached a letter that I sent to the Medical Officer of Health of my local health authority, Perth County, Ontario.
The letter describes how a very large scale scientific study (S. Szmigielski) indicates that micro-wave radiation can cause massive increases in the likely-hood and death from various cancers. Having Wi Fi in schools is likely to increase that danger by a large amount.
Why is the school board willing to risk the heath and safety of the children that they are supposed to protect? Why is Health Canada ignoring thousands of scientific research papers which indicate that electro magnetic radiation cause serious harm to health.

The National Broadband Plan
Dear Friend:
Successful public advocacy requires funding. It's very costly to pursue matters before the California Public Utilities Commission ("CPUC") and the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC"). Like almost everyone else, we have bills to pay each month, and can't afford to work without reasonable compensation.
You should also know that there's another toxic train coming down the tracks that will eclipse the SmartMeter problems we are facing. It's called the National Broadband Plan, another federally-mandated program brought to you by the government. If you think radiation from the SmartMeters is a problem, you haven't seen anything yet. If fully implemented, the national grid system might actually glow in the dark. We are talking about high levels of Radio Frequency (RF) radiation that will be everywhere.
It may interest you to know that over the years, I've recovered millions of dollars for public and private institutions as a result of my efforts before the CPUC and FCC. This includes a series of appeals at the FCC that yielded more than $2.5 million for a local school district.
